Print that on canvas and I’m sure some people would love it! Personally I’m not so keen on stuff like this, I like photography that looks like photography if that makes any sense!
PS. The horizon….. 😀
I think it would look good on canvas and I’m sure others would think so too… although it’s not my cup of tea. I also like a photo to look like a photo.
I think some ‘effects’ can quickly date an image. There’s a photographer in East Perth who prints her photos onto canvas and then actually paints on top, directly on to the canvas to give a kind of 3D effect and that looks great. I guess ‘art’ is whatever you want it to be….let us know how it looks on the canvas!
Fletch I think it would sell well but it will come down to how you presented it (mounting / framing). Instead of canvas maybe a more textured paper would suit this well.
Christian, hate to bump the topic but i have just noticed the blog title picture at the top of the page (it look like an F-4 flying in the clouds).
This is an incredible picture! you have to put it in the new gallery!
Sean it is an F-111 doing a dump and burn. I want it in the gallery but the girls think its rubbish!! It only appeals to us guys! Sorry any girls who like it!
Well I’m a girl (at least I was once) and I love it. I’d also consider buying it for a fella…
On the image above I’d go with very minimal presentation rather than add more textures. I quite like the painterly feel it makes me think of Jeffrey Sharp’s colours, particularly at the top.

Not really my thing but it might grow on you, I’m sure it would look great in some shots, but what would I know cause I don’t like the Mona Lisa.

I think it may look good if you could print it so it looked like a water colour. I’d still like to see on canvas.

I think the biggest problem is this is just not a great image. Even as a straight image it isn’t that strong. Will keep working on new ideas.
