Oxer Lookout, Karijini

oxerFinally something to post that is a little more interesting. Taken on my last trip to Karijini. We are looking for interest in a second date for a Karijini workshop with me, Peter Eastway and Tony Hewitt. Let me know if you want to come along. Will be after the first one that is being held on the 23rd of April.

  1. I Like this, is a very different perspective to other Karijini shots ive seen, Could you email me some info about this next Karijini trip, thanks.

  2. Christian that is a realy nice picture, It may almost be my new favorite of your work. That would look awsome as a huge print I recon. As for the karijini course, I wish I could aford it, unfortunately at the moment i cant. maybe one day.

  4. Yay… photo’s at last. Very nice.

  5. Awesome.

  6. You wanna shout me a trip Im in!
    But expensive for me! 😦

  7. The second course will be the same as the first exactly. Therefore the cost will be $3500, we will shoot every morning and arvo and anytime in between. During the day it will be workshops and tutorials on Photoshop, colour management, printing, technique etc. Pretty much every scrap of info the three of us can provide we will. All food and accommodation is included in the cost but you will have to get yourself up there. The first course is from the 23rd leaving on the morning of the 27th of April 2010. The second course we haven’t set a date for yet but will probably be on the 1st of May 2010. We are just taking expressions of interest at the moment for the second on to see if it will fill. The first date is booked out already and we are now collecting deposits. Tony Hewitt is also going to run some portrait sessions at Karijini which will be fantastic as we can all learn better ways to shoot people as that is probably the easiest way to make money from your photography. We will have sponsors providing us with printers, lenses, cameras and photo paper so you will be able to have a play with this stuff and learn more about it. Peter should have his p65 back for his Mamiya so will be showing off with that. I will try to outdo him with stitching techniques to see if we can approach the quality he will be getting.
Any other questions about what will be going on?

  8. p.s. Phil didn’t you get an email from me re the course?? You are booked in you know!

  12. Fantastic image Christian..The detail in the flora and geology would be awesome in a large print. mmm….Karijini !

  13. How many people are on each of these?

  14. Got the T-shirt from the Cobb and Co wagon from WA today thanks mate.

Fits great, although the WA version of a Large is slightly smaller than the eastern seaboard. Must be like the old railway lines been different widths in different states.

I will have to go out and shoot with it on.

  15. love it!
it’s all been said above so i won’t take anymore of your time 🙂

  16. 18 on each course mate.

Cool Tom, the tight fit is the look these days mate!!

    Thanks Stephen
