Paragliding
This photo was taken a little whilst ago by a mate when we were flying at Yallingup. Haven’t taken any photos myself from the air as I’m usually trying hard not to die!! Not sure if anyone saw the pic of me in the West Australian last week flying near the wind turbines in Albany but that is a classic example of how to make money selling stock photography. That image has been used about four times. I think it was taken by a staff photographer for the West so he may not get paid each time it is used but if it was yours that is money for jam!!

as you know I have tons of photos like that, just need to find out how to do this stock stuff. you manage your own system, rather than putting it up on Istock photo etc.
I say the one in the West Australian, also looked like your glider colours too!
I also am a little scared of taking too good a camera with me when I fly, dont want to replace L serise lens etc or expensive camera bodys. my body on the other hand can heal itself within limits!!!
Hi Nige, mate you have less padding these days, you may break easier. We have our own stock site http://www.australiastockphotos.com and all my images that don’t make it or are old go into that. We sell a lot of stock every year and its passive income. All you need to do is set up a site and let people know it is there. We contacted people that would use stock photos, designers, graphic artists etc and they keep us in mind. Actually just this week we have sold 13 images to various people at $250 a pop. You do the sums, and all I have to do is post a disc or email them. Sweeeet!!
At what resolution are you offering your stock images to your clients?
what ever size they want or at least the biggest size I have available. Usually try to determine what their requirements are and resize to that.
